Volunteer With Lift The Block at One Healthy Detroit
Lift The Block is excited to serve as a community vendor at the upcoming One Healthy Detroit Health & Wellness Expo, a citywide event focused on health, wellness, family support, and community connection across Detroit.
We are currently seeking volunteers to help us create a welcoming, organized, and impactful experience at our vendor table throughout the event.

Volunteer Shift Time: 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM
Community Event Hours: 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM
About the Event
One Healthy Detroit is a free community Health & Wellness Expo designed to bring Detroit families together while promoting healthier lifestyles and access to valuable resources.
The event will feature:
Health & wellness resources
Healthcare vendors and community organizations
Family-friendly activities
Food trucks and refreshments
Fun Run & Walk
Giveaways and community engagement opportunities
Volunteer Responsibilities
Volunteers may assist with:
Vendor table setup and breakdown
Greeting and engaging with community members
Distributing snacks, resources, or informational materials
Assisting with crowd flow and organization
Supporting family engagement activities
Helping maintain a welcoming and positive environment
Who We’re Looking For
We are looking for volunteers who are:
Dependable and professional
Friendly and community-oriented
Passionate about serving Detroit families
Comfortable engaging with the public
Willing to support a fast-paced community event environment
What to Expect
This will be a high-energy, community-centered event focused on health, wellness, and connection. Volunteers should wear comfortable clothing and shoes suitable for outdoor and indoor activity.
Water and light refreshments will be available.
