Lift The Block will be joining Alternatives For Girls for Arms Around AFG, an evening dedicated to supporting survivors of domestic violence, recognizing their strength, and honoring lives lost.

The event will also include a Household Essential Drive supporting survivors transitioning into safe and stable housing.

We’re looking for Lift The Block volunteers to join us! Volunteers will help us represent LTB, support the event, and assist where needed throughout the evening.

💜 Attire: Wear purple in recognition of Domestic Violence Awareness Month.

Lift The Block will join A Girl Like Me Inc. for an intimate Lunch & Learn designed to encourage and connect young and teen mothers.

The conversation will center around “My Why, Your Why,” “Finding Your Village,” and “More Than Mom,” with real discussion about purpose, support, community, personal goals, and making space for who you are becoming while navigating motherhood.

This small-group gathering will create space for honest conversation, encouragement, and connection in a comfortable setting.

Join Lift The Block as we connect with Detroit residents during Walk A Mile Wednesday. Volunteers will help represent Lift The Block, greet and engage with community members, assist with distributing refreshments, share information about our programs and resources, and participate in the community walk.

This is a hands-on opportunity to support our community outreach efforts, build relationships with residents and community partners, and help families learn more about the resources available through Lift The Block.

Volunteer activities may include: event setup, welcoming residents, distributing refreshments, sharing Lift The Block information, assisting with community engagement, and cleanup.

The Father’s Day Game Day Cookout will bring together fathers, families, and community members for an afternoon of games, food, fellowship, and community connection. Activities will include horseshoes, dominoes, card games, refreshments, raffle baskets, and opportunities to connect with local resources and community partners.
